I. ABSTRACT
This research explores the lived experience of college students who are victims of cyberstalking
at Olivarez College Tagaytay. Cyberstalking has become more common online because people
are victimized using digital communication channels like social media more frequently.
However, technology has unexpectedly helped to make cyberstalking a kind of violence. There
have been various instances of online harassment and cyberstalking. Cyberstalking and cyber
harassment have become more widespread, especially peer-to-peer cyber violence, which is on
the rise against women, with victims suffering threats of rape, stalking, defamation, and even
death (Aguilar, 2020). A phenomenological design was used in the study—semi-structured
interviews to gather the needed data for this research. A purposive sampling technique was
used. The respondent chosen should meet the criteria. The data undergo thematic analysis. In
this study, cyberstalking was found significantly affect the victims' mental capability, and
therefore Parental guidance could help the victims to cope with cyberstalking; not having high
protection in the personal privacy of social media accounts may cause and be prone to
cyberstalking from the emerging themes victims of cyberstalking had a tough time dealing with
the issue they had run into on social media platforms, including anxiety. They also deal with
problems involving social media and personal privacy precautions to ensure safety, and it is
recommended to minimize social media activity to avoid being victimized by cyberstalkers.
