| General note | ABSTRACT<br/><br/>Despite the expanding significance of transcultural nursing, how<br/>much of it is taught and used in actual healthcare settings still<br/>needs to be determined. By examining the current condition of<br/>transcultural nursing education and practice among healthcare<br/>professionals, this study seeks to close this gap. The researchers<br/>utilized a descriptive comparative quantitative research design to<br/>know novice nurses' cultural competencies that focus on the<br/>Affiliated Hospitals of Olivarez College Tagaytay. After<br/>categorizing, identifying, and evaluating the information obtained<br/>from the respondents, this study came to the following results.<br/>New nurses are culturally competent, but being culturally<br/>informed is the lowest score. Novice Nurses of Affiliated<br/>Hospitals of Olivarez College Tagaytay have no significant<br/>difference in cultural competency when analyzed by demographic<br/>profile. Researchers provide potential interventions to improve<br/>cultural knowledge, such as encouraging new nurses to attend<br/>workshops, seminars, and programs that advance their expertise.<br/>The study's cultural Competencies of novice nurses are evident,<br/>which is beneficial for the healthcare system of the affiliated<br/>hospitals of Olivarez College Tagaytay, the novice nurses, and the<br/>patients that receive health care. The researchers can assume that<br/>pharmacological knowledge regarding different ethnic groups can<br/>be explored more as nurses continue to provide healthcare needs to<br/>different patients in the hospital and gain more experience as they<br/>go along with their journey.<br/> |
