| General note | I. ABSTRACT<br/><br/>Tourism helps a country's overall growth, brand value, image, and identity. The Department<br/>of Tourism has established recommendations for accommodation establishments that reflect<br/>the "new normal" in response to the widespread spread of the coronavirus disease 2019<br/>(Covid-19). The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification program that certifies<br/>that a business complies with the government's minimal public health criteria which uses or<br/>integrates its contact tracing with StaySafe.ph. Throughout this view, the researchers<br/>determined the Impacts of Sustaining the Safety Seal in Tagaytay Country Hotel. It sought<br/>answers to the following questions (1) how does Tagaytay Country Hotel sustain their safety<br/>seal? (2) What is the impact of sustaining a safety seal in terms of (a) Finance, (b) Operations,<br/>(c) Human Resource Development (3) What are the challenges faced by Tagaytay Country<br/>Hotel in sustaining their Safety seal? (4) How does Tagaytay Country Hotel cope with their<br/>challenges (5) what continuous quality improvement plan can be proposed based on the<br/>findings of the study? The researchers used non-probability sampling - purposive sampling.<br/>Non-probability sampling is a sampling approach in which the possibility of any person being<br/>selected for a sample cannot be calculated. The instruments used are in-depth interview,<br/>observation, and document analysis with informed consent. The in-depth interview,<br/>observation, and document analysis identified the coping strategies of Tagaytay Country<br/>Hotel while sustaining the Safety Seal amidst the new normal. The researcher utilized a set of<br/>survey questionnaires to obtain relevant information. The questionnaires were administered<br/>during scheduled interviews, with questions asked by the interviewer and answered by the<br/>participants. Based on the results, all participants identified themselves with the "Impacts of<br/>Sustaining the Safety Seal in Tagaytay Country Hotel" and shared their coping strategies in<br/>implementing new normal policies in accordance with DOH rules and regulations. The study<br/>discovered a significant linear relationship between sustaining the safety seal in the hotel and<br/>the strategies employed to adapt to the new normal. The COVID-19 pandemic was a<br/>significant concern for both the hotel's guests and employees. As a result, the study proposes<br/>a health awareness program to increase awareness of new policies and procedures that align<br/>with the new normal and assess the impacts of sustaining the safety seal in Tagaytay Country<br/>Hotel.<br/> |
