Summary, etc. ABSTRACT :<br/>General Objective of the Study: <br/>This study aimed to determine the manifestations of malnutrition to the physical development of children ages 6-12 at Brgy. Kabulusan, Bailen, Cavite. It took into consideration the different factor that affects their malnutrition such as in relation to their age, height, weight, lifestyle, common illnesses that encountered, and how often they experience such illness. The study aimed to determine which of the following factors has the most significant relationship to malnutrition of children. <br/> <br/>Methodology <br/>The study used descriptive research design to describe the manifestation of malnutrition in children in relation to their age, height, weight, lifestyle, common illnesses and how often they experience such illness. There were 131 children in Brgy. Kabulusan, Bailen Cavite ages 6-12 who participated as despondence. The type of questionnaire that the respondent used was open ended questionnaire, to be able to have a clear understanding and a definitive answer or response on the subject. Statistical treatments used by the proponents on the study are the frequency percentage distribution and the Basal Mass Index (BMI) analysis. The data gathered was tallied, interpreted, analyzed and presented in tabulated form. <br/><br/>Major Findings <br/>The proponents find out that there are 131 total students in Brgy. Kabulusan, Elementary School ages 6-12. there are 27 students to be considered as malnourished either under nourished or over nourished. 2. Majority of children who suffered from malnutrition belong to low income group 3. Malnourished children are being affected by their socio-economic status, lifestyle, the kind of food that they eat, and what kind of family they belong Family with more than 5 children also suffered from malnutrition because of a very small proportion of food for each member of the family and their income cannot sustain it. 5. The disease that the children of Brgy. Kabulusan, Elementary School encountered are common colds, cought, and fever. 6. The children in brgy. Kabulusan go to their Brgy. Health Center if they ill.<br/><br/>Conclusions:<br/> 1. Of all the total number of respondents, the effect of malnutrition mostly occurred in school children ages 8-12, because as a child they are more interested in playing. This is the reason why children are having low immune system to fight entering infectious agent like bacteria and viruses. 2. Families of children suffering from malnutrition consult to a Health practitioner, including public nurse and public health workers. 3. The number of member of the family and their financial status are factors, which affects the children who are suffering from malnutrition. 4. The operational hypothesis was accepted and proven that there are significant effects of malnutrition on physical development of children. <br/>
