| Summary, etc. | ABSTRACT<br/>This study aimed to identify perceptions of the selected respondents to help them in choosing their preferred hospital they want. The aspect of this research helped the individual to fully understand the advantages and disadvantages in choosing right service whether it is private or public hospital Specifically, this sought to answer the following questions: What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of Age, Gender, Civil Status, Average Monthly Income; and Employment?, What is the quality of services offered by both public and private hospitals in terms of Efficiency, Appropriateness, Availability, Timeliness, Effectivity, Continuity and Safety?, What are the technological adaptations in the hospital?, What hospital is better based on the perception of the respondents? <br/>The researchers used the descriptive method of research which is a fact finding method with adequate interpretation. The study is concerned on trends that are developing. Descriptive research is research design in which something occurs or the extent to which the variable covers. The process of descriptive goes beyond mere gathering and tabulating of data. This method is used as an approach to problem solving that seeks to answer questions as to the real facts relating to existing conditions in the descriptive survey method of research. The survey research involves the systematic application of representative sampling, questionnaire design, information collection and statistical analysis techniques to obtain data which describes aspects of public in as much detail required by the researchers. Based on the foregoing findings the following conclusions were drawn:(1.) Most of the respondents are from age bracket of 18 to 22 years old, female, single and students. (2.) On the perception of the respondents, private hospitals give quality service to the clients while public hospitals service is not so good. (3.) Private hospitals are good in adapting modern equipments. Public hospitals equipments are not so effective on the respondent's view. (4.) Private hospitals have high technology and also offer high quality of service. While public hospitals have low technology and also offer low quality of service. Based on the foregoing conclusions, the following recommendations were drawn: (1.) Nursing students should be knowledgeable about basic hospital <br/>settings and should be competent enough. (2.) Private and public hospitals should improve quality service by training employees to be efficient and competent through seminars, professional organizations, etc. Performance of the hospital employees should be improved with the right standards. (3.) Both private and public hospitals should engaged and adapt in the dynamic world of technology. Obsolete equipments and machineries should be eliminated and be changed with new and effective ones, not necessarily expensive. (4.) Private and public hospitals should improve their quality of service and adaptation in innovation of technology. <br/> |
