| General note | ABSTRACT<br/><br/>THE PROBLEM<br/>The main study area is Family Problems and the Academic Performance of<br/>the Selected Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences Students of Olivarez<br/>College Tagaytay S.Y 2018-2019" and the objective of the study was to: (1) identify<br/>the family problems encountered by the selected Grade 12 Humanities and Social<br/>Sciences students of Olivarez College Tagaytay, (2) determine the level of<br/>academic performance of the selected Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences<br/>students of Olivarez College Tagaytay, (3) know if there is a significant relationship<br/>between family problems and the academic performance of the selected Grade 12<br/>Humanities and Social Sciences students of Olivarez College Tagaytay. The<br/>research study is to bring awareness on how family problems is related to the<br/>academic performance of the students.<br/>RESEARCH METHODOLOGY<br/>The research methodology used quantitative methodology and descriptive<br/>correlation research design techniques are necessary tool for illuminating how the<br/>Family Problems and the Academic Performance of the Selected Grade 12 HUMSS<br/>Students are related to each other. The researchers used Nonprobability Sampling<br/>method thru Purposive Snowball sampling which relies upon convenience and<br/>access. The respondents were Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences students,<br/>they were approached asked to test the Family Problems and the Academic<br/>Performance of the Selected Grade 12 HUMSS Students, then, given questionnaire<br/>used in the data-gathering technique. Data were treated using Percentage and<br/>Frequency Distribution, Standard Deviation, Pearson-r, and Weighted Mean. |
