| General note | ABSTRACT<br/><br/>THE PROBLEM<br/>The main study area is "Absenteeism Among Senior High School Students In<br/>Olivarez College Tagaytay, A Basis for an Intervention Program" and the objective<br/>of the study was to: (1) to know the profile of the respondents in terms of: Gender:<br/>(2) What are the factors that may cause student's absenteeism?<br/><br/>RESEARCH METHODOLOGY<br/>The research methodology includes the population of the study, which<br/>refers to the respondents of the study. It also includes research design, data<br/>gatherings, procedure and the research instrument that was used to complete the<br/>study.<br/><br/>FINDINGS<br/>The data shows the majority of the respondents are female. This may imply<br/>that most of havìng absenteeism is female seventy-two percent (72%%) than male<br/>twenty-eight percent (28%). The "Factors of Absenteeism among Senior High<br/>School Students of Olivarez College Tagaytay ". The Physical Factor 1: Our house<br/>is far from the school with the highest rate of 3.85 with the verbal interpretation of<br/>VERY OFTEN. This result from the questionnaire confirmed the expectations,<br/>which assumed that PHYSICAL FACTORS would be predictor of previous and<br/>current absenteeism is negatively related to physical factors such as academic<br/>self-perception attitudes toward teacher and school. This finding confirmed<br/>previous studies are indicating that students with high rate of absenteeism have<br/>negative view about their academic ability (Aduguzel & Karadas, 2013; Attwood &<br/>Croll, 2006; Valiente et al., 2008). "HOME RELATED FACTORS" 6: We have no<br/>foods/ did not eat with the lowest rate of 2.91 the verbal interpretation of<br/>SOMETIMES. This result implies that home related factors can also affect<br/>absenteeism but not highly cause than the physical factors. |
