| General note | ABSTRACT<br/>Premarital Sex is a sexual intercourse engaged by persons who are<br/>not married - a commonly issue nowadays but still a very sensitive topic.<br/>According to the data collated by the Philippines Statistic Authority (PSA, 2016)<br/>one third of Filipinos who has the age of 15-24 years old have engaged to<br/>premarital sex. The data collated showed that 35.5 percent of young male<br/>Filipinos and 28.7 percent of young females have engaged in premarital sex.<br/>The Quantitative Descriptive design was used in the study. The researchers<br/>used stratified sampling technique. The respondents of the study involve the<br/>Grade 12 STEM students in Olivarez College Tagaytay. The research<br/>instrument that the researchers used is a self-made questionnaire. The<br/>researchers made use of the frequency percentage and weighted mean as<br/>statistical treatment. The present study is based on the selected students of<br/>Olivarez College Tagaytay. On the basis of primary data collection, it's being<br/>proved that most of the respondents are in the age of 18, most of the<br/>respondents are female, and most of the respondents are in the section Orion.<br/>The researchers concluded that showing love and respect will lead to a better<br/>relationship. Most of the respondents are lack of guidance by their parents. The<br/>level of awareness of the selected students is aware. The researchers<br/>concluded that the level of awareness of the students are not enough and they<br/>need to gain more knowledge about premarital sex. The researchers<br/>recommend more knowledge about the consequences to happen when you engaged into premarital sex. This can be possible through the parents, school administrators and teachers by discussing and addressing the<br/>result of this study and educate them to gain more knowledge towards<br/>premarital sex. |
