General note ABSTRACT

Online education has changed over time as a result of technology improvements. The usage of Learning Management Systems (LMS) has transformed the aspect of delivering education. Self-Regulated Learning Abilities engagement are explained in part by their task completion practices. The general objective of this study was to identify the self-regulated abilities that are common among Olivarez College Students and to evaluate the Self-regulated abilities of Students and the Extent of Utilization of Learning Management System that they use. A descriptive quantitative correlational research design stratified random sampling was conducted on a sample size of 318 students in Olivarez College Tagaytay.
Stratified sampling was employed to select the sample. The permission to conduct the research study was obtained from the authorities. A survey was distributed using Google form subsequently the data has been collected. The data was analyzed using SPSS in term of descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation to test the significant relationship among the variables.
Based on the findings, the extent of utilization of LMS goes higher the Level of self-regulated learning abilities also goes higher and vice versa. These findings overall suggest a Project Proposal Plan which considers Extent of Utilization of Learning Management System and Self-regulated Abilities as the process of learning for students in online learning even if the classes are in regular settings. As the Philippines ventures into a new mode of learning, several factors need to be considered. This includes Selfmonitoring, Goal setting, and efficiency of learners in extent of utilization of the learning management system. These are, of course, in addition to the more obvious concerns about internet speed and regulating itself without intervention. Taking a step back and designing a strategy that involves teachers, students, parents, school administrators, and internet companies is the best approach to move forward. This type of collaborative response based on a shared objective is exactly what our educational system needed.

Keywords : Utilization, Learning Management Systems, Self-regulated abilities
