The study is answering three specific questions. These are: 1. What is the socio-demographic profile of the women regarding age and educational attainment, 2. Which among school, health care personnel, and mass media is always available for the women as source of knowledge on breast self examination?, 3. Methodology: A descriptive research design was used in the study. The respondents were women ages 25-50 regardless of their income and socioeconomic status. The total number of subjects in this study is 66 from a total population of 193 in Balubad I, Silang, Cavite. The respondents were chosen using simple random technique. The data gathering tool that was used to obtain data was a self report questionnaire which is administered through a house to house basis. It was written in Filipino for better understanding of the respondents. Likert Scale was used for the respondents to read each question carefully and to prevent them from rapidly completing the questionnaire by checking one category all the way. The self report questionnaire has 3 parts, the part 1 was about the demographic data of the respondents, part 2 is about knowledge regarding BSE, and the last part was about the efficiency of the sources of the respondents. The statistical treatments used were weighted mean, percentage, frequency distribution, and rank.
