The Chi-square test statistic was used in analyzing the relationship between the carative behavior and clinical performance of the respondents. Major Findings: More than half of the respondents obtained a carative behavior scores ranging from 3.41 to 4.20 with an equivalent verbal interpretation of very good followed by 44.71 percent of the respondents who obtained scores ranging from 4.21 to 5.00 with equivalent verbal interpretation of outstanding.Test statistics showed that there is no significant relationship between carative behavior and clinical performance of students. Conclusions:1.1 A typical third year BS Nursing student of Olivarez College is 20 years old. 1.2 In general, nursing students of Olivarez College are female. This is an accurate reflection of the gender distribution in nursing schools. 1.3 Catholic is the predominant religion of nursing students. This is understandable since the Philippines is primarily known as a catholic country. 1.4 Most third year nursing students of Olivarez College-Tagaytay belong to the lowest family income bracket which suggests that despite the high cost of nursing education, families still wanted to send their children to nursing schools due to high opportunity to go abroad and earn high income once they graduate. 2.The third year BS Nursing students of Olivarez College-Tagaytay, in general, have very good caring behavior toward their patients. Overall, students had modest clinical performance which indicates that 3.they fared reasonably well in their RLE duty. Data also imply that it is very difficult for a student to obtain very good rating in RLE or clinical performance since no student obtained a grade of 1.00 to 1.50. There was no significant evidence to suggest that the carative behavior of the respondents is related to their clinical performance. Hence, the caring attitudes of the nursing students did not influence their clinical performance. Recommendations: The researchers recommend that students in nursing programs find ways to develop their caring behaviors into more humane manner, first, and then secondarily, in the nursing role. It was also recommended that nurse educators prepare their students both in their caring behaviors and in clinical performance. Specific classroom strategies to encourage the development of these characteristics must be encouraged. Administrators, deans and department chairpersons must ensure that the enhancement of the carative behavior is incorporated both in the formal and in the informal curriculum. Further studies are recommended to include the perception of caring from the clinical instructors' perception and patients' perception to provide a more realistic insight of the relationship between carative behavior of nursing students and their clinical performance.
