ABSTARCT
This study aimed to determine the level of alcohol awareness among Grade 12
HUMSS students of Olivarez College Tagaytay. Alcohol has historically, and
continues to hold an important role in social engagement and bonding for many.
Social drinking or moderate alcohol consumption for many is pleasurable and
perceived to reduce stress and anxiety. Descriptive research design was also utilĂzed to
describe the levels of alcohol awareness among grade 12 HUMSS students. The
researchers randomly selected 100 students from the sections of Grade 12 Humanities
and Social Sciences strand both from morning and afternoon session such as Hydra,
Hercules, Phoenix and Tucana. The data were gathered using a questionnaire to
determine the level of alcohol awareness among the respondents. To interpret the data
that were obtained, the following statistical formula were used for data processing. To
determine the profile of the respondents in termns of age, sex, section and drinking
pattern, the researchers used frequency count and percentage. In terms of the profile
on the respondents' age, the researchers gathered the following data. There are 47 or
47% of the respondents are 17 years old. The age 18 gained 43 of the respondents or
43%. While, 6 participants or 6% are 19 years old. And 4% or 4 of the respondents
answered that they are 16 years old
