ABSTRACT

THE PROBLEM
The main study area is "Teaching Styles: It's Impacts to the Academic Performance
of Humanities and Social Sciences Grade - 12 Students of Olivarez College
Tagaytay
Academic Year 2018- 2019" and the objective of the study was: (1) to know the
different teaching styles that teachers used in Olivarez College - Tagaytay, (2) to
know level of academic performance of HUMSS- 12 at Olivarez College Tagaytay,
(3) to know the significant relationship between the teaching styles and the academic
performances of HUMSS - 12 students at Olivarez College Tagaytay, and (4) to
propose the instructional materials based on the findings of the research project. The
research would like to have output of an effective teaching style, which will serve the
SHS Department of Olivarez College Tagaytay, as a tool for effective learning
environment.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The research methodology used quantitative methodology and descriptive
comparative design techniques are necessary tool for illuminating how the Teaching
Styles: It's Impacts To The Academic Performance is simulated at virtual
environments. The researchers used Nonprobability Sampling method thru Stratified
Sampling which relies upon same characteristics. The respondents were SHS and
College Faculty teachers, they were approached asked to test the Teaching Styles:
It's Impacts To The Academic Performance System, then, given questionnaire used
