ABSTRACT

The researchers aimed to know what the buying behavior among their
respondents is; whether it is by their needs or just stick to their wants. By the help
of budgeting they can summarize their expenditures by managing their money.
The researchers aimed to recommend the financial literacy program for them to
know what to do about their allowances.
The researcher used descriptive correlation which is any scientific process
begins with description, based on observation, of an event or events, from which
theories may later be developed to explain the observations.
In psychology, techniques used to describe the behavior include case
studies, surveys, naturalistic observation, interviews, and psychological tests. The
researchers used simple random sampling as their sampling method, which out of
three section they used fish bowl strategy to, picked or choose the right section of
the respondents. Out of three sections, section Andromeda was chosen with a total
of 50 respondents. The researchers used survey questionnaires to get
demographic profile of the respondents such as the gender, age, weekly
allowances and expenditures. The respondents rank each statement from strongly
agree, agree, disagree to strongly disagree. Based on the study, majority of the
respondents are female. All of the respondents are less than 20 years old. Majority
of the respondents' weekly allowances are below 500 pesos. Majority of the
respondents spend their allowances for food. Overall, of the respondents agreed
that they consider their financial condition when buying.
