Educational research should not only contribute to the growing body of disciplinary knowledge but should also help improve teaching practices. The basic assumption of the evidence-based process agenda is that teaching and learning can improve through teachers' consideration of educational research on teaching and learning. Teacher preparation programs in the schools are the best place to train and equip future teachers with the capability to integrate knowledge from scientific resources and apply and adopt them in their practice.
This research evidence may include theories of teaching and learning, innovations in education, empirical findings of educational processes and interventions as well as research in didactic and curriculum studies. The article aimed to share researches recently done to shed light and appreciate the idea forwarded by this year's PAFTE conference theme on "Evidence-Based Practices and Innovations in Education through Research and Integration for Sustainability".
