Sanitation refers to the sense of maintaining or living in a healthy environment for the well-being of one's own family, including eating healthy food, using fine clothing, living in a clean house, using sanitary latrines, and living with medical care. Community sanitation is essential for environmental sustainability, as climate and environment depend on people. People knowingly or unknowingly neglect to keep fit and healthy and do not even know the effect of handwashing. Undoubtedly, proper hand washing is necessary after defecation or before and after taking food, which results in the spread of thousands of diseases in the community. The researcher utilized the participatory action research method and purposive sampling to identify and select information-rich cases related to the phenomenon of interest. The participants of this study were the residents of Purok 160 Brgy. San Jose Tagaytay City. The sample size is ten (10) participants or until data saturation. The researcher used a photovoice approach in which the cameras are placed in the hands of research participants, allowing them a "voice" to record their surroundings, empowering them to develop knowledge and interpretation of their environments, and promoting sharing and critical dialogue. They also used semi-structured interview questions with (4) main questions, as this method helps to gather open-ended data, feelings, beliefs, and thoughts about a particular topic and explores experiences and attitudes. The study results showed that the participants needed more home sanitation practices due to disorganized house materials, inadequate food, and water sanitation due to uncovered storage, and the water drainage needed to be improved due to household solid waste. In line with this issue, the researchers recommended improving sanitation and promoting health in Purok 160 ER -
