Research by Tenenbaum, Crosby, and Gliner (2001) points to 3 distinct types of support provided by mentors: networking, psychosocial, and instrumental. In this chap-ter, we provide examples of our own experiences as mentees with Judith Kroll, who provides all 3 of these types of mentorship support to her trainees. We first introduce ourselves and describe how we met Judy, then talk about her mentorship in these 3 areas, and finish with how our scholarship has been shaped by our work with Judy and her approach to scholarship.
