Statement of the Problem This study was conducted to investigate the perception of selected students of Olivarez College Tagaytay regarding sexually transmitted diseases. Specifically, the students sought answers to the following questions: 1. What is the demographic profile of the student-participants in terms of: 1.1 age; 1.2 gender? 2. What are the common perceptions of the respondents about sexually transmitted diseases? 3. Is there any significant difference in the perception about sexually transmitted disease of respondents based on: a. gender; b. age? Hypothesis of the Study: Operational: a. There is a significant difference between the male and female respondents in their perception of sexually transmitted disease. b. There is a significant difference between the perceptions of age groups 15-19 and 20 and above in their perception of sexually transmitted disease. Null: a. There is no significant difference between the male and female respondents in their perception of sexually transmitted disease. b. There is no significant difference between the perceptions of age groups 15-19 and 20 and above in their Methodology: describe the important information needed to answer the specific problems extracted out from the general problem. The study had 150 selected students of Olivarez College Tagaytay. As a sample size, these 150 selected students were then distributed into the demographic profile as: age, and gender. To be able to obtain the needed data, the proponents used a research instrument: survey questionnaire. Results gathered were then computed using the percentage frequency, weighted mean, likert scale, stratified random sampling, and T-test. ER -
