ABSTRACT : The setting of the study was conducted at the Outpatient Department of Paranaque Community Hospital. Paranaque Community Hospital was primarily intended for ward services with few hospital beds to accommodate health services needed by low-income earner of the town. After a few years of service, hospital needs to expand for a wider service until Outpatient. Department were established. The local government allotted budget for this hospital in order to have a better and wider capability to serve the people. The researchers aimed to find out if the patient is satisfied with the professional care rendered in the Outpatient of Paranaque Community Hospital. Specifically, the study seeks the answers to the following questions: (1) How does the services of the OPD of Paranaque Community Hospital satisfy the needs of the patients? (2) What are the services offered that needs further enhancement for patient satisfaction? (3) What are the needed priority services meet the patient satisfaction? The study includes 100 respondents. In this study, the researchers used the descriptive type of research design, which would be based on the data gathered through survey questionare. The researchers prepared questionnaire as instrument in collecting data. The researchers used simple random to prevent bias and convenient sampling in order to get the most convenient available for people. The researchers were given two days to conduct the survey dated March 18 and 19, 2008. The data gathered were treated statically by the use of Percentage and Weighted mean Formula. At the outset, the researchers have come up with the following summary of findings: The researchers found out that based on the data gathered, that the patients of Paranaque Community Hospital were only fairly satisfied with the services being rendered by the Out Patient Department despite of the full effort being done by the department due to big volume of patients needs to be treated in a day. One contributing factor that result to unmet full satisfactions of patients is, a lack of system from files and records that spend much on retrieval, lack of time management due to doctors, nurses, staffs need to attend some other matters related to some important reasons. It shows that on the research study that only a minor problem is being experience on the said department based on the study. It shows that the unmet full satisfaction of patients is not a major concern of the health care team because this falls under the minor concern of the institution. Per thorough study of the research and findings, Paranaque Community Hospital should have an improvements and wider knowledge on the filing system particularly on the records in order for the staffs and patients to spend a lesser time in the retrieval of their records.
