ABSTRACT
This study, the investigation about the effect of part-time job to the academic
performance of the selected grade 12 students of Olivarez College Tagaytay
looked at the difference of the academic performance of students before and
after getting a part-time job. This study has been motivated by the realization that
some of the students are experiencing some difficulties and challenges in having
a part-time job. Thus, it is imperative that these effects can be identified and
addressed. The research design used by the researchers was the quantitative
descriptive research design; second, respondents' academic performance shows
that there is so no statistical difference between the grades of students before and after having a part-time job. Third, data shows that the students' part-time
job do not have an effect on their task performance, class participation and
Comprehension. It could be deduced from the results that the respondents
believe that their level of performance are not affected by their part time job.
Findings imply that having part time jobs is not a barrier to perform well and
improve their other sills that is related in school matters.The results pointed that
working students should know their goals and prioritize wisely so they can focus
on their studies and be satisfied with their academic performance. Working
students should also know how to balance their time at their studies and part-
time job so they can do well on both and one should be focused at task at hand,
plan ahead so they can pass all your requirements on time.
