The coronavirus pandemic has led to the drastic transformation of the delivery of instruction from traditional in-person instruction to virtual platforms which in turn challenged instructional designers to create learning materials that are suitable for online distance learning. In this paper, a teaching and learning blueprint for clinical teaching in undergraduate mental health and psychiatric nursing was designed based on the first three stages of the Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation (ADDIE) instructional design model. The blueprint was evaluated by three subject matter experts who revealed an Item Content Validity Index (1-CVI) of 1.00, a Scale-level Content Validity Index (S-(VI/Ave) of 1.00, and an interrater reliability index of 80% through percent agreement. With the results as a basis, the blueprint has excellent content validity and an accoptable interrater reliability index. This should provide evidence of the effectiveness of the ADDIE instructional design model as a guide in the creation of a teaching and learning blueprint that is valid and reliable.
