ABSTRACT
A study was conducted to assess the factors affecting the level of job satisfaction of staff nurses in selected Hospitals in Silang, Cavite and Tagaytay City. Specifically, the study aimed to answer the following: Describe the demographic profile of staff nurses in selected hospitals; identify the level of job satisfaction of staff nurses in terms of salary and benefits, nursing administration and policies, job status and task, working condition, achievement and recognition, career development opportunities and interpersonal relationship, and determine if these factors has any significant relationship on the level of job satisfaction of nurses. A total of 10 respondents were selected through the availability of staff nurses in both hospitals. The descriptive method of research was used together with the questionnaire and semi-structured interview was the main source of the findings The data gathered were collected, tallied, and processed into tables. After which the interpretation and analysis were done. The data collected were treated statistically using frequency percentage distribution, weighted and average mean. Results showed that staff nurses in selected hospitals were satisfied in terms of Salary and Benefits, Achievement and Recognition, and Interpersonal Relationship .The study showed that there was relatively low level of adoption of the provision of nursing administration and Policies, Job status and task, working condition and career development and Opportunities. Since staff, nurses were having difficulty to comment due to some intriguing issue that might affect their present status
