ABSTRACT
In Olivarez College Tagaytay, senior high school students used study
habits as their academic strategies for the improvement of their studies. In using
study habits, it can affect the result of the grades of every student. This study
utilized a Quantitative Descriptive Research design. The researchers made a
questionnaire to be used in collecting data. Indicators of perceived effectiveness
of study habits were taken from the review of related literature. The researchers
used frequency, percentage, mean score and mean and frequency percentage
as a statistical treatment of the data. As the data gathered were summarized, the
researchers arrived at the conclusions that majority of the respondents are 16
and 17 years of age and in the stage of young adulthood. Majority of the
respondents are from the HUMSS strand. Almost all of the respondents preferred
study habits as a partial learning tool in maintaining a passing grade. The senior
high school students strategies are differ. It is recommended that students must
know the real study habits that may help them in their studies. It will provide an
alternate approach in the study habits and that is more interesting for the
students.
