500 _aABSTRACT With the development of new communication technologies, at the beginning of the 21st century Facebook became one of the most popular social network sites all around the world. Facebook has been widely used by people of different ages and genders. Facebook is used by its members to fulfill many needs and socialization is just one of these needs. Students use Facebook for their communication needs. Facebook has become an inevitable part of students' lives. For the completion of the study, the data for quantitative descriptive correlational study has been collected through a questionnaire that was adapted from The Influence of Facebook on Interpersonal Communication." which consists of I5 questions. All 15 questions are designed according to a 5 point Likert scale and sought to measure the students perception towards using Facebook and Interpersonal Skills. The data was analyzed using mean and Pearson to test if there is significant relationship between the Perceptions toward Facebook and Interpersonal Skills The study resulted in these findings, first, majority of the respondents are female and have the age that ranges from 16-17 years old. Second, the respondents perceived Facebook as a way to easily communicate with other people. Third, the respondents prefer to be social with their friends in face-to-face communication. The results pointed out that there is a need to develop the way and the attitude on how we communicate with other people and the perception towards using Facebook does not necessarily affects our interpersonal skills.
