500 _aABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine the effects on homework activities of selected ABM students of Olivarez College Tagaytay Senior High School Department for the school year 2018-2019. This paper studied in detail about the effects of homework activities to students, ts objective and its importance for students. It describes both the positive and negative outcomes of homework. It also highlights on how students get mentally affected due to excessive homework causing their performance as a student. The basic objectives of assigning homework to students are the same as schooling in general: to increase the knowledge and improve the abilities and skills of the students. Homework may be designed to reinforce what students have already learned, prepare them for upcoming lessons, extend what they know by having them apply it to new situations, or to integrate their abilities by applying many different skills to a single task. Homework also provides an opportunity for parents to participate in their children's education. The purpose of this study is to determine how implementing homework affects student in his/her subjects as well as how homework helps students strengthen the skills they learned in school. The participants of this study came from 3 sections of Grade 12 Accountancy, Business and Management strand at of Olivarez College Tagaytay specifically sections Andromeda, Aquila and the Rigel with a total of 75.
